I also have what looks like a red spot on my breast , it just appeared and after 2 weeks has not disappeared. It is not itchy or sore but I am a bit worried
Hi, i saw my doctor after i posted this and even with Covid they examined my breasts. The doctor could not feel any lumps (neither could i) but sent me to the breast clinic to be checked. I had my appointment within 10 days (I was shocked as i thought it would be months) the consultant checked and told me everything is fine.
If you are worried please go to your doctor to get checked.
did they give you any explanation at all? I have contacted my doctor now on several occasions and each time haven't said a lot even though they know I'm concerned.
iv had my red spot/mark for roughly 3 months now. I have now been referred for he breast clinic for piece of mind. Awaiting my appointment.
so so worried though it's been stressing me out so much :(
Hi what do your red spots look like? I have three on one breast two feel like they have a head on them like a pimple and the other a smaller version. There are another two on the other breast in more or less the same place not as big or as pink. I feel sick when I see them but am terrified of cancer.
it's just one on my left breast it's flat, if I rub my finger over it goes really light until the colour comes back. I thought it may be a blood vessel but like you say the worry and fear it brings thinking cancer is scary.
controls your thoughts.
i don't have any lump around or any other symptoms, just pain when I'm due on in the sides.
Hi thanks for your quick reply did you get an answer as to what it is? I may give myself a week or two and see - I've had them for a while. I know not everything is cancer but all you hear about is people with cancer and your mind runs riot.
i got referred to the breast clinic, he checked my breasts over and said all seemed ok. Didn't refer me for a scan or biopsy. Just told to keep an eye on the mark.
i then mentioned it would be a dermatogist position to confirm it was skin related such as skin cancer etc, but the doctor from the clinic said as long as it doesn't change shape, size, scans over, bleeds and nipples invert or the skin around the area changes, not to worry.
he said it can be caused by blunt force to the breast such as leaning on etc.
its still there it has t changed size some days it looks more faint to others but has not got bigger or changed shape etc.
i find it hard to not worry about it though and shut off
