Concerned I may have lymphoma

Hi I am a 16 year old girl and I have two pea sized lumps on the left side of my neck and my skin is a bit itchy. I am worried as these are symptoms of lymphoma . Due to the current cornavirus pandemic I can't go to the doctors so I am left panicking and thinking the worst  does anyone have any advice.

  • I know Corona is dominating the news at the moment but lymphoma action has urged people not to avoid symptoms or concerns. Is there a way for you to get a telephone consultation with your GP if you are hesitant to go in? They may be able to arrange blood tests remotely or have a system in place to arrange an examination ( though don't get your hopes up) and bloods for people that need them.

In the mean time keep an eye on symptoms and write them down in a diary incase you need to refer back to it in a couple of months when this does down. There's a chance the GP will ask you to self monitor for a while so it's good to have a written back up to help.

    All the best

  • [@jess03]‍  I agree with [@Ross2991]‍  As it's Easter break and 111 is open 24  hours, they got me an urgent GP appt, reception in my surgery duly rang, and I was seen. Corona prevented me seeing him agin after the recommendeed 2 weeks if lump still there in  mouth, however GP phoned me and promptly arranged a biopsy which was done on Monday, so corona or not, medics are still keen on hearing from people with cancer fears.

Hospital had measures in place re corona, but they still biopsied me.
