I've been unwell since before Christmas and a CT scan showed a mass on my thymus. I was supposed to get a biopsy but this has understandably been pushed back for a few months because of the current situation but I have just found a new large lump on my neck that's very hard. My ESR was over 100 last time I got it tested about a month ago and I've had to take time off work because I've had high temperatures, constant itching and tiredness.
Last week I was told to phone the respiratory consultant again in 2 months if I don't hear back by then about the biopsy. They said it may take longer than 2 months though as it would be more dangerous for me to go there and to potentially catch coronavirus.
I'm worried and I feel like I need to tell someone about this new lump. However appointments with my GP seem to be very scarce right now and they seem to be only doing them over the phone and I know how much pressure the respiratory departments are under so I would only want to contact them if it's serious.
Does anyone have any advice about who the best person would be to contact?
