I'm new to doing anything like this but I think I just need a little advice/reassurance. Sorry if I'm doing this wrong.
I'm 29 and found a lump on my right breast on saturday after having slight pain like a pinch or sting feeling for at least a few days prior, it wasn't really hurting just a little uncomfortable and annoying. Didnt think anything of it but I moaned to my mum jokingly as you do! As I did so I picked the area I was feeling this and poked something hard.
I found a lump, made my mum check to make sure it just wasnt in my head and she agreed it didnt feel normal.
I called dr monday who said I need to come in the same day. He checked me over and said theres definitely a lump there and excused himself from the room, about 5 mins later he came back with an appointment for tomorrow as an urgent referal to hospital breast clinic. He didnt say anything else about it.
So I've just been trying to keep normal, I don't think its cancer that's not what I'm worried about (the pain went off by the sunday) but i don't know if it's a cyst or something if it can burst? Silly thoughts probably but I can't lay to sleep properly because I'm worried about laying on it, I can't tell if it hurts a bit or if it's in my head because I know there is a lump there.
I just received a letter to say that my urgent referral tomorrow has now been made into a telephone appointment (probably because of the coronavirus situation) I really don't know what to do. I don't know how to describe the lump, I personally can't tell if its rough edges or smooth. It doesnt really move it's in the same place but it has a little movement side to side but I'm a FF my whole boob has movement! Lol.
I'm so sorry for the long winded ramble but I don't have anyone to talk to other than my mum because its not something I want to worry anyone about if it's nothing. I've gone from finding the lump to being given hospital appointment in under a week.
Does anyone know how they can conduct a more thorough examination via telephone than my dr did in person? X
