My mind is racing...

I was told a few months back when I went to a clinic that I have vulvitis and sometimes I get sore during sex because of it but I'm not sure and I've  just only noticed a large lump inside of my vagina that isn't sore when I touch it it just doesn't feel right and I'm not sure how long it had been there... I'm 19 and I can't get my cervical test until I'm 24 which scares me personally. I'm having no pain when I urinate and I've only bled once after having sex but never again and there is no blood in my urine or random bleeding... I'm scared because I was told that they don't offer it to under 24s and I feel Like if I ask I'll be told no... becuase they say it's unlikely to have cervical cancer under the age of 24... also I've been told to go on iron tablets and I'm having more bowel movements ever since I started them... my mind just keeps thinking I have cancer and it's terrifying

  • Hi Clo.xo,

I'm sorry to read about your worries. The best thing always with these situations, if you're concerned, is to speak to your doctor. If you can't do that in person at the moment then perhaps you can arrange a phone appointment. They are best placed to advise you on this.

I know it's easier said than done but try not to dwell on it too much - find answers where helpful from your doctor to give you peace of mind, but apart from that try to keep your mind off it.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
