I agree with Jenn above.
Also, even with corona, Docs are still seeing people with cancer worries.
I am worry prone and had a small tiny lump in my mouth.
My GP was pleased I went, a few days after I stewed and worried over it, he thought it was an ulcer, but asked me to see him 2 weeks later if it hadn't gone, and discussed possible referral.
2 weeks later, it was still there, and corona stopped me seeing him face to face but he phoned me and referred me to maxillofacial surgeon and said they will decide if I need biopsy.
surgeon said it could be blocked gland but took biopsy anyway. Glad I went early, otherwise I would be beside myself with worry now. I'm sure GP's would rather you talk to them if you have cancer worries than sit at home worrying.
The nurse helpline on here is really good too.
The thing is that my parents had cancer and i live with them at the moment. If i was to go to the doctors i would have to borrow their car and i cant exactly say 'Mum im just going to the doctors because i think i have cancer' they will worry themselves dead! what should i do?
Can you get taxi from a short distance away from your parents to the doctor's.
Doctors need to know if we've got concerns about cancer I hope you do manage to get there and I hope your mind at rest
