I'm Katie. 
I'm worried about my dad.

He's always been asthmatic but recently it has progressed to severe, & he has worsening heart failure. A few months ago he was in hospital for breathing problems, they did a chest x-ray & it showed a shadow on the right lung. Last month they did another one as he was in hospital again because of the heart failure, & the shadow has grown bigger.

 They weren't keen on following this up as he is so fragile he wouldn't survive all the tests to go through a diagnosis. I asked the GP what to be aware of as I was worried the shadow on the lung could be cancer & she told me if if spreads it can present as shoulder/back pain.

 Well the last few days, my dad has had severe pain in his right shoulder & it resulted in my mum calling the ambulance today. They've taken him in to see whether this pain is muscular or due to something else. 
 

The other symptoms are weight loss, loss of appetite (he's still eating but not a lot compared to what he used to eat), dizziness, fatigue & breathlessness.
