Worried about lymphoma

Hi all,

this is my first time posting on something like this but I'm really worried at the moment and figured that this would be a good place to get some advice. This is probably going to get very rambly so apologies in advance.

about 5/6 months ago I suddenly became ill after a spell of quite violent vomiting. Since then more symptoms such as extreme fatigue, acid reflux, random bone pains and frequent headaches have been a part of my life. The main thing that is worrying me however is a 4cm long swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck. It is moveable and does not feel tender.

I have been going back and forth to different doctors for months now and each one has told me that it feels reactivate however not a single one has tried to find out what it has been reacting to.

I managed to get an appointment with a gastroenterologist in regards to my stomach problems and I had an endoscopy however nothing came up and I was told my stomach was in perfect condition. He did however arrange for my neck to be ultrasounded and I was basically told that it was in fact a lymph node but I never heard anything else back.

I am now in a position where I am struggling to get anything done due to the Covid pandemic and am worrying that if it is something sinister, it will be caught too late.

i have no night sweats, no itch and have not lost any weight in the 5 months I've been ill (I've actually gained some weight). Is this a good/promising sign?

sorry for the very long-winded post, I'm just hoping to chat to some people who may be able to offer some advice

thanks x

  • Hi, welcome

I thought I had replied to this thread as i followed it, so am sorry you have waited 5 days for a reply.

Glad endoscopy clear, and stomach in perfect condition.

I would ring surgery and chase up ultrasound and ask what lymph node is reacting to.

I got a quick biopsy despite covid, so medics are still seeing people at hospitals.

    Please don't be sorry.
