I am in exactly the same boat. I had my appointment booked for tomorrow and had a call today to say that it has been cancelled however I will get a call from the doctor instead. I am wondering if we can do a basic assessment over the phone or whether we need to be seen and have a physical assessment to really get any proper answers. 

I totally understand the precautions where coronavirus is concerned but it seems crazy that these checks will be pushed back when a quick diagnosis is so important. 

it’s horrible isn’t it :( I feel so stressed with it all. Didn’t even feel like a proper exam with the GP, which I do understand but really need to know x. 

I spoke to my gp today and she rang around to see what other hospitals are still open and doing the checks so I have been re-reffered. Whether that gets cancelled too is another question. 

I have a telephone call instead of my appointment too so I am hoping maybe they can do a basic talk through of a breast exam and maybe assess the risk? Who knows really. I will see what they say tomorrow and I'll let you know what happens

Hi, so not a massive amount to report as my phone call was more to rebook me in for a physical assessment. I assume they are putting in additional measures to safeguard people coming in for these kinds of screenings so they  blanket cancelled everything, worked out the logistics of getting us in with minimal contact with the rest of the hospital and then rebooked. I imagine your call will be the same. Fingers crossed!
