Hi Lemonandlime and welcome to the forum.
Hopefully others who have had similar results will pop by soon for a chat soon but I noticed you mentioned on another discussion that you have a womb biopsy on Thursday so I just wanted to wish you good luck and let you know we'll be thinking of you.
Kind regards,

Hi I had a ultrasound yesterday and have similar findings i have echo poor heterogeneous area measuring 3cm x1.4 wanted to know what were you findings hystroscopy is next for me
Hi Anna
i seem to have had a few different things going on that explained a collection of different abnormalities on the ultrasound across uterus (in endometrium and myometrium) and ovary. In the uterus, which is what is relevant here, I had polyps (they were removed during hysteroscopy). I also had complex hyperplasia of endometrium (diagnosed from the endometrial biopsy taken during hysteroscopy) and adenomyosis. Although there were a few steps to work through, none of the abnormalities on ultrasound were cancer. The first line treatment was progesterone.
When is your hysteroscopy?
Thank you for replying, I'm waiting on a date scan report says echo poor heterogeneous area found in the uterus 3cm x 1.4cm
Would you mind telling me how old are you?
I was 54 when I was referred.
Sorry to ask so many questions with hyperplasia are you still on progesterone?have the doctor followed up with scan again to check the thickness of endromitrium?
Feel free to ask questions.
so, after the biopsy, I was put on progesterone treatment with 6-monthly scans and biopsy for the uterus ( 4-monthly scans for the ovary).
I am not on these protocols any more because I had a hysterectomy just before the biopsy was due (I did not tolerate progesterone, which i don't believe is very common).
Thank you your given information is very helpful
I'm pleased to hear you had a hysterectomy.
I had abnormal bleeding for 4 years with hyperplasia and adenomyosis. I also had small fibroids.
I ended up with endometrial cancer and had a radical hysterectomy last week. Awaiting Radiotherapy.
My biopsy etc were fine in 2019 but I was never followed up. You say you had 6 monthly follow up. Was that because there were abnormalities?
i was discharged but then developed cancer.
