Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read about your worries, although it is reassuring to hear the doctor wasn't concerned. Try to trust in what he has said, as your doctor is best placed to advise.

It's best to avoid Googling things like this as the information is rarely helpful and is often irrelevant or out of date.

Also try not to connect different symptoms as they may not be related.

If you remain concerned and things don't change at all you can always revisit your doctor or ask for a second opinion.

Hi,

I diagnosed myself with paranoia and extreme anxiety about death due to losing my father as a child. In other words, I'm fine. The lump went away after a few weeks and luckily it wasn't lymphoma. I was unbelievably worried and made myself so stressed. I have two young children and am still terrified I'll be taken from them but I'm staying away from google! I wish other could be as lucky as I am, but I always say it's better to be safe than sorry! Do you have symptoms of something?

Yeh I have a load of odd symptoms my armpit keep randomly getting itchy and my right one is super tender and I keep getting pins and needles in my leg and arm when I sit down my lymph nodes have been examined and the doctor thinks it's fine I had severe back pain that went away with treatment but still worried just a whole raft of odd things that the doctor thinks is normal I'm constantly worried not sleeep and driving myself completely mad xx

Awww hun. This was exactly me! I actually do get pins and needles and it's because I have issues with my bones lol. I'm lanky and have had kids and just am getting on a bit lol. I think we naturally jump to the worst conclusions because we are so frightened. I couldn't sleep either, I was making myself ill with worry. My armpits are itching like mad today but I think it's just a deodorant thing and not shaving them much anymore ha ha! How about you tell yourself that I'm 4 week, if the armpit is still tender, you'll go back to the doctor about it? Give yourself that time off in between to just try and forget about it temporarily.
