i have a 23 mm endometrium and my periods were also every 21 days for two years and then
every two months and heavy . Scan showed thickened endometrium and no other signs ,however I’m going for a Hysteroscopy in May. Did you receive your results.
I know this post is very old but I'm looking for some advice. Haven't had a period since chemo for breast cancer in 2021 but was put on zoladex injections for 18 months which shutdown the ovaries. Came off them a year ago and been on tamoxifen ever since. Had a small bleed few weeks ago and now scans have shown a 20mm womb lining. I'm having to go back for biopsy etc and I am TERRIFIED.
I at just turned 21 remember having things frozen or burnt off my cervix that supposedly were the cause of my irregular bleeds especially around sex. Totally forget they did that. Then for years I suffered pelvic pain eventually diagnosed as endometriosis in a laparoscopy where I KNOW they also removed from my bowel lining. I was on Zoladex injections for 3 plus years then NOTHING. Except confirmation I’m perimenopausal when actually it could all be bowel cancer
& that’s made me worry about the gynae side as a private mri 2 years ago happened to show a large fibroid & I’ve always had ovarian cysts.
Overdue smear test now as last time was so painful PETRIFIED. As also at 17 I had HPV yet have been clear ever since. just have a funny feeling…
it’s great they are on the case for you- do not panic as scary as cancer can be, treatments are much more advanced than in the past hence survival rates are thankfully high with more learnt about various types all the time.
easier said than done don’t panic or stop worrying- I know that as have struggled to switch it off since the 11th when email reply confirmed still on the cancer pathway.& yet NO clue exactly why except had to be related to the transverse colon biopsies taken but I don’t know what other histology would appear as doesnt say they took any others- very confusing
