Hi all,
just a quick question.
At the end of February I had an operation to remove a tumour on the left half of my thyroid and half my thyroid.
Since the operation I have been doing well. My results of the tumor are on 9th April. I have been sent a letter saying I need a CT scan, this is on the 25th March. I have no idea why I need this scan. Is this something routine after surgery or has the doctor found something?
I cannot contact my consultant as he is on holiday and he comes back on the 8th April. I am obviously really worried and just thinking the worst but I would just prefer to know! At least then I could be prepared.
So is a CT scan of neck and chest normal after thyroid removal or should I be prepared?
thanks,
hannah.
