Breast cancer referral letter

Hi could somone please offer some help. I've been referred to the breast clinic for under 40s as I've shown symptoms for inflammatory breast cancer I'm 28. After examination my doctor told me she did not think it was cancer and more a skin sensitivity thing but would refer me anyway. I've booked my appointment online and I'm really worried as it says the Doctor has referred me as they believe the symptoms are cancer. Why would they write this or do they write the same for each referral?

I'm so sorry to hear about your symptoms, it's such a scary time I've been going through this worry for so long now, pretty sure it's not cancer as it's been a long time but I have something bad going on with my breast that doesn't want to get better so I understand your fears and worries. Always here if you need to talk. But as for the referral it's the same for most people I believe, it's not that they think you have cancer majority of the time it's just how the letters are done. Mine said the same, they're just being cautious and ensuring you have all the right tests. I hope all goes well for you x

Thanks for your reply. Yes very scary isnt it and now with the coronavirus I've had my appointment at the breast clinic cancelled and to wait for them to contact me . Have you been seen by a doctor for your symptoms. Hope you're ok. X

Hello, I've been referred to the breast clinic too as I've found a lump. I just got my appointment through this morning for Tuesday. The letter & leaflets I've been sent are scary too x

Mine was meant to be this tuesday but with the coronavirus its been cancelled. Been told to just wait to hear from them with appointment. X
