Biopsy after colposcopy and Covid-19

Hello,

I am currently awaiting biopsy results after my colposcopy. I was originally diagnosed with low-grade dyskariosis and being hpv positive, however the doctor said that the changes were a bit more serious. Although he said it did not look cancerous they took biopsy to be sure.

Under the current circumstances, I am not sure if it makes me vulnerable to Covid-19 or not, which adds a lot of stress as I await my results. I cannot find information about it anywhere.

could you please advise?

  • Hello Linde,

I can imagine it must be a very stressful time at the moment to be waiting for results. It is reassuring news though that the doctor said that it did not look cancerous and I hope you won't need to wait too long for your biopsy results.

I think all you can do at the moment as you don't yet know the details of your results is take the same precautions as everyone else, avoiding going out and socially distancing, and of course washing your hands regularly for 20 secs.

I am keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,

  • Can I ask Linde how long your biopsy results took with the pandemic. I'm awaiting mine it's been a week and I'm already driving myself mad.
I hope yours were clear xx

  • Hi ladies.. how are you all doing? I had my colposcopy and biopsy last week 25th June. My question is, how long do you usually have to wait for the results. Hope you all had good news xxx
