Worried

I’ve had thickening/ a lump in my breast for a while but kept telling myself I’m too young for it to be anything serious. I then started having pain in my right shoulder blade and right arm which is now pretty extreme  (the sam side as the lump), and am feeling so defeated and fatigued, which made me think the lump could be something more serious so went to the doctor. She felt and agreed there was a lump, but because of my age has put me at the bottom of the waiting list for the breast clinic, saying I could be waiting 6 months. Is this the reality? I live in wales. I would’ve thought with my other symptoms I would be seen quicker. I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old and I am beside myself with worry. Does anyone have any experience of this or know if I am able to been seen any quicker?

Thank you xx

  • Welcome to the forum Gmj31 although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined us.

Hopefully some of our members residing in Wales who have been in a similar situation will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon.

Whilst you wait I thought I'd include some information I've found about waiting times in Wales for you to look through but if you're concerned about the length of time you may be waiting do be sure to discuss this with your GP.

No doubt this must be very frustrating but fingers crossed you'll be seen earlier than what you've been advised.

    Kind regards,
