Lymphoma - lump in my back

Hi, I've had a "mole" in the middle of my back for about 3 years. Had it cut out at the docs a couple of weeks ago as it started to itch and become annoying - I really didn't expect it to be anything. Anyway had a call from the docs & asked in for emergency appt. They are saying it's highly probable that it's lymphoma and I've been referred for a haematology appt which will be in 2 weeks time.
I've tried googling lymphoma and back lumps but can't find much. I can find swollen lymph nodes/nodes in general but nothing on lumps not linked to the nodes (doc checked my lymph node and all ok).
I'm scared and worried, don't know what to expect when I go for my hospital appointment, whether it's just for a blood test or whether they will do any other tests while I'm there. Is there anyone on here who's been diagnosed with lymphona who started with a general lump (or could this just be a secondary thing?) and if so what was it... what can I expect?
thank you x
