I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with this worry. I just wanted to let you know that CRP is not the most reliable indicator of a problem. It can be raised for many reasons that are not cancer and also I've heard lots of people have high levels and they had nothing wrong. I also know that CRP can be normal when you do have cancer so I don't put much weight on that test at all. My levels are normal yet I'm likely facing a lung cancer diagnosis. 

I'm so sorry to hear of your diagnosis I hope the outcome is positive and really? Why is the doctor scaring me with this urgency then lol I suppose I have nothing to do but wait until tomorrows appointment but I really appreciate your reply

To cut a long story short I went to gp last Friday as I've had no voice and severely sore throat since 2nd jan and a tooth extraction site that wont heal 2 lots of antibiotics later still no voice and doctor was asking about head and neck cancers in the family and went through and head and neck cancer checklist with me....then sent for bloods n xray on monday then repeated bloods this morning then a call to say gp wanted to see me first thing in the morning face to face.....none of the bloods I've had could conclude anything so I'm lost I why shes even mentioning cancer xx

Oh ok now the raised CRP makes sense. I'm willing to bet its because of the tooth extraction. CRP is high when there is inflammation and infection. I have no idea why your gp would mention cancer especially since you're having issues after the extraction. So the sore throat and loss of voice was before the tooth extraction or after?.

8 weeks previous to tooth extraction 

That is definitely strange and obviously it needs investigating but it could be lots of things other than cancer. A lot of nerves run along there and if you have infection or inflammation it can affect your voice. I know I'm sorry I'm not much help. Keep me updated
