Breast lump, clear ultrasound, waiting for mri

Hi,

Does anyone have experience of finding a breast lump, having a clear mammogram and ultrasound and then being sent for MRI? (No biopsy done as couldn’t see it on ultrasound)

I’m 35, I found a lump, which the breast specialist could also feel, mammogram and ultrasound couldn’t see it. Radiographer said it must be glandular tissue, but the consultant has sent me for an MRI. The lump has got bigger in the time I’ve been waiting for the MRI.

I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I understand there are some cancers which don’t always show on ultrasound, could this be what they are looking for?

My mother died of breast cancer and several other relatives, so I am really worried.

Not looking forward to waiting for the MRI results!

Thanks
