i was referred to ENT by my GP because of a recurring sore throat. the ENT DR was lovely. he started bty saying 90% of urgent referrals were viral so should be fine. Then he looked down my throat through my nose. He there and then diagnose Lymphoid Hyperplasia of my tongue and sent me for a scan with contrast of neck, throat and chest. the scan date was for less than a week after appointment but i had to change as i was away. I had the scan last Thursday and i had a phone call at 8pm last night to say the ENT consultant needs to see me this week. I'm goping to see him on Friday mormning at 8.45am. he did mention when i saw him before the scan he may have to do a bioopsy but i think the speed of seeing him after getting the scan and the fact they called at night is worrying me a bit.
