Hi all,
I have been having low wbc count since 2017. A full blood test in 2017 and 2018 shows that i have lower than 4 wbc. I went for about 4times of full blood count in 2018 and all came back to be lower than 4. Then i visited a haematology in 2018 jun. Went for several blood test like folate serum, renal panel liver panel, vitamin b12. All shows normal except for my WBC which is lower than 4.
The haematologies says that i have cyclical leukopenia, which means some times my wbc is low and some times it get back to normal. And he says that other than that there is nothing worrying (the rest of my full blood count is within range but inly the WBC is lower than 4.)
My latest blood test in 2019 jul show my wbc to be 4.4. Then in sept 2019, i started having nose bleed in my left nostril only. The first time happen when i am cleaning my nose with a tissue paper and subsequent it happen when i am sleeping and in the middle of night.(i slept in an air conditioned room) The bleeding can happen once every 2-3weeks. Then in oct i went to a ear nose throat specialist for my nose and they rule out any tumour or burst vessel. The doctor say it could be due to dryness in nose. Given steriod spray for nose and bleeding never occur since.
My previous appppointment with haematologies in jan 2020 and blood test show my wbc is 3.8 again. (My nose bleed stopped since oct 2019 thus i did not mention it to my haematologied thinking its really due dryness)
Then in late jan, i started having nose bleed again every 2 -3weeks, same left nostril when i clean my nose.
So now i am worried that my frequent nose bleed could be link to my wbc and then it could be link to leukemia.
What should i do next? I have an appointment with haematologies only in aug 2020. Should i bring forward my appointment?
