hi
Strange but true!? as mum has had bloating I suggested I take her to GP. The GP agreed she was bloated and as colorectal team had ruled out any more cancer (which she had localised in 2017) He did bloods I guessed it may be for tumour markers but nothing was said.
In 2016 I vaguely remember her having an op and 1 shrivelled ovary removed.
Since 2015 she had a bleed on the brain now causing dementia and then part of colon removed due to localised cancer , so you can see why trying to remember everything is difficult!
The GP was sending her for an ultra sound scan under the 2 week rule as CA125 levels were raised, until I mentioned the op when she looked at mums notes it said both ovaries were removed?? So now not sure what to do she has emailed the gynae team.......and I'm left wondering is it a typing error or what? Trying to talk to gynae secretary today to see if she'll read the notes out to me as I do have power of attorney for mum now...
Has anyone else come across the test CA125 meaning something else please?
thanks
