Lymph node for 2 years behind ear

I've been panicking recently about the lump behind my ear. I've had it for over 2 years. But since November it has been causing me problems only on my left hand of my face, neck, shoulder, back, arm and my hand. Which will feel like a dull numbing sensation. Which really effects half of my tounge really bad. Most of the time half my face feels ill. I'm having bad night sweats. I had a blood test done. I have low vitamin D which my doctors has give me some to take 1 for 15days and then 1 a month. I always had other things low in my blood test results. I feel tired quite a lot. Sometimes I get sharp pains in my leg, I have a bad itch on the inner of my right thigh. Sometimes I find it hard to concentrate and make silly mmmistakes at work. Every now and again if I've worked to hard I get a bad sharp burning pain near my heart. The vains on the left hand temple are bulging our most of the time. I must mention I am also a migraine with aura sufferer. But I haven't had one of thoses for a while. Sometimes my shoulder will feel badly brusied if I leave it to rest for a few hours it will then feel fine. I'm just very worried on what this could be. I had a ultrasound yesterday on my neck. Now just have to wait to hear from the doctors. I am a mum of 3 little babies. I'm just getting really down with how all this is effecting my days. Even taking time to play with my children is causing me pain.
Thank you. For reading x

  • Hello Simone1,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your ultrasound results. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can (I bet you are already super busy with your three little ones) and avoid looking things up online.  I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Simone

Did you find out what it is. I have exactly the same symptoms. Had the swollen glands for about two years but it's only now they are causing a sort of numb pins and needles sensation on one side of my jaw and face. ?
