I recently had a smear test at my doctors and she examined my cervix, she carried out a smear that Iv not yet received results for. She said my cervix looked very red and because of blood she couldn't see very well so referred me to have a colposcopy. This was very quick like 4 days later on an urgent appointment. Iv had the colposcopy yesterday and after about 5 minutes of the nurse examining me she said there does look like there's some changes, she asked if she could take a biopsy and I agreed but I didn't expect her to take more than 2, she took about 7/8 which obviously made me so worried. Afterwards she used silver nitrate and a fluid to wash out there was quite a lot of blood and she said the blood was present throughout the examination so she couldn't see properly either. I'm so scared, I sat down and she said there was areas that looked suspicious? What does that mean? I'm riddled with anxiety waiting for the biopsy and smear results It's like I'm almost expecting it to say I have the dreaded C. Has anyone else had more that 2 biopsy's taken? Please help.
