sounds like your op must of been painful, does that mean they removed the tissue and then stitched it back up leaving you like tongue tied. must of been hard to get used to it

Hi again, very little pain after the op. They lasered it out under the tongue so no stitches, about 2.5 cm round and 1cm deep, so that's why my tongue is shorter. Like I said before I'm getting used to it but my 's' sound is different but not much, a problem with my speech was my big worry but only my family and friends can tell, to a stranger they wouldn't pick up on it.
They took some lymph nodes out my neck to check, but they were fine. So that was it, I'm back to see the consultant at the end of the month for a check.
My appointment was cancelled but it was just a follow up so that can wait. We're ok, missing seeing our grandson, but can't risk it. Our daughter is due with her first any minute, but we don't know when we'll get to see the baby! Strange times.
awww was it... maybe you Could ask to have your follow up over the phone so you don't have to wait. I know a few hospitals in our area have shut everything but a&e but the one am at still has clinics running till mid April then they are shutting down. Well that's what the sec told me. I know it's probably nothing to worry about or would of been in sooner so am not panicking now.
awww must be so hard not seeing your grandson and he must miss you's a lot
my 2 sons Whatspp video call, my 5 year old has high functioning autism but he doesn't get what's going on still so glad we have back gardens lol decided to take time off from work now I just want to make sure the boys are ok.money isn't everything is it.
it must be hard for your daughter, she must be worried about going out to hospitals with the virus. You could try video call her to see the baby when he/she is born. I hope you get to see your grandson very soon and the new baby when he/she arrives
Liz, how are you doing, safe I hope along with the rest of your family. Any word back about your results. We're all ok. especially with the new arrival, a girl on Saturday night. Both doing fine.

they cancelled it the morning of the appointment :-/ the sec said I will get another appointment so it can't be anythin to worry about , got a letter to ring endoscopy ? Don't know why that would be- can't see why I would need a camera. can't seem to get through to anyone to ask why when I have phone the last two days it's just rang out and then gone to an answer machine.
I had quite a big chunk taken out of my tongue on the 9th july, I get my results tomorrow, that's a month after. I think this is too long to wait. I will update the results when I get them.
