Concerned about lymphoma

Hi guys,

It's my first time posting here and I'm a bit scared.

I'm a 31 year old woman with no other notable health complaints. Over two weeks ago, I noticed a lump on my neck. It's sort of firm and moveable and not painful. About a week after that, another lump came up under my jaw. This one is slightly more tender, and possibly even bigger.

The doctor said they felt like normal reactive lymph nodes, about 1.5cm, and should settle, but that she'd send me for blood tests if they haven't.

They haven't, so I'm having full blood count tomorrow.

I'm not feeling good about this.

  • Hi The_Berry,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's never easy when there is this uncertainty and waiting for information. It's easier said than done but try not to worry until you find out more - and hopefully it won't be long before you get answers.

Some people say it helps to keep busy and distracted while waiting for results.

I hope you're able to find out more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Thank you Ben.

I got my results and they were in range. But my WBC was 5.5 which is only just in range, and every time I've had it tested in the past it's been between 7.5 and 9.5!

I'm worried that it's dropping because of lymphoma. These lumps won't go away. My doctor won't do any more tests now unless I push, but I don't know if I should.
