Mass on gallbladder urgent referral

I had an ultrasound on Monday night 5pm, Tuesday morning my gp rang and asked me to come in that day, she told me I had a soft tissue mass on my gallbladder and that I would have an urgent referral to see a gastroenterologist, I am 34 and I have an appointment in 1 weeks time. I have been in a lot of pain since November which is getting worse and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or has anything similar and what happened to them? Did it turn out to be cancer?

    I'm sorry to read about the pain you've been in. The only thing to really do at this stage is to wait for the appointment and for any potential next steps to take. Try to take things one day at a time and prior to your appointment it may help to keep busy and distracted.

    If anyone here has any similar experience to share then hopefully they'll be along soon.

    I feel like nobody is giving me any answers, do you know of anyone in a similar situation? I just want a similar story but can't find anything and nobody is answering me.

    Hi, I'm going through the same thing. I've had an ultrasound last week and it's come back I have a mass in my gallbladder and I've had the document they sent me  and on it was said suspicious cancer. So I have to wait for a CAT scan now. I know how you feel , the waiting is the worse. And to top it off my Husband has just been given a kidney diagnosis of cancer. I do hope the best for you and wish you a lot of luck.
