I can imagine this has set your mind racing but it doesn't necessarily mean that you have cancer.
Different hospitals operate in different ways, so it's possible that everyone has access to a nurse at your hospital while they are waiting for results. It's not something you can second guess or look up, other than possibly giving the nurse a call and having a chat about your concerns. I'm afraid though, that no one will be able to say for definite until the results are back.
So keep busy and hopefully you will get the results soon.
