I am really confused as I was told there was a small white mass on my ct scan , I have now been referred for a pet scan and a lung function test , does this mean that the ct scan showed cancer ? 

My nurse was just very non committal just said that the pet scan would give a clearer picture of what we are dealing with ? 

Am I right to conclude that it’s cancer or can a ct scan  show something but be inconclusive 

I’m sorry to ask as I know a lot of people on here have already been diagnosed or their family member has but I am just lost at the moment
