Hi I can't help much but I'm also going through this too. 

I went to my doctors with shortness of breath and back pain 3 weeks ago and was sent for a chest xray, got a letter to say I had to go the thoracic clinic at the local hospital. 

I had my bloods taken and had to blow into a pipe and then went in to see the consultant. They brought a nurse in straight away so I knew it wasn't going to be the best news.  However they're still investigating and I seem to have everything on my side I've never smoked, I'm 46 and quite healthy (although I'm fat - that's what I thought was causing the breathlessness).

They showed me my xray and my left lung was mostly white, they're saying it could be fluid and that they need to drain it (2litres ) but to do so they'd need to see what and where they could with a ct scan. 

Today I've been for my ct scan. It was quite quick and I had the contrast dye. The nurses where all lovely (you then start wondering if they're being nice cause they can see something and feel sorry for you) the nurse should be contacting me next week. 

I know I haven't been any help at all, but sometimes it's nice to know your not the only one going through it.  I'm terrified but I'm trying to stay positive.  Hope your doing OK and try not to worry too much, it could be many things before it's cancer. X

I too have just had colorectal cancer and they discovered lesions on my lungs. I have been referred for PET scan and Bronchoscopy. It's scary not knowing what is happening inside your body. Hope you get good results. X

How did your scan go? I am on the same boat, had a biopsy this Tuesday and PET scan today. I have a follow up appointment on Wednesday. I am anxiously awaiting for my results and trying to find answers.
