Breast Vibrations

I am 72 years and for a couple of months, like other people on this site I have been experiencing frequent episodes of vibrating in my right breast, each episode lasts a minute or so but sometimes they are less than ten minutes apart. . Ten years ago I had a biopsy of this breast and started to feel very slight vibrations following the procedure but they have now started up again and become a regular occurrence, more intense, stop me in my tracks and disturb me at night.  A local GP has examined me and said there was no sign of any lumps etc and suggested I bought a more uplifting bra.  There is history of breast cancer in my family and I think my doctor thinks I am paranoid about this, I am not, I would just like someone to clarify why this is happening.  Could it be hormone related - a couple of months ago I STOPPED taking 1000mg per day of Evening Oil of Primrose that I had been taking for about 18 years because my doctor  prescribed a blood thinner and I read online that you shouldn't take Evening Oil of Primrose with this type of medication.  Any explanation about these vibrations would be most welcome, thank you.

  • Hi Bucket,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. Unfortunately I'm not able to advise on this - it's always best in these situations to try to get an answer from your doctor. If you feel you're not being listened to, you can ask for a second opinion or perhaps make an appointment with a different doctor.

I hope you're able to find out more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,
