Please don't be embarrassed, if you are concerned I would strongly recommend you go, it could turn out to be nothing and your worries put at ease or if it is something it is better found early on. You can ask for a female doctor if that makes you feel more comfortable, she will have had a long career of seeing similar things, you won't be the first patient to see them with this complaint or the last so please don't feel too embarrassed to talk about it. I strongly recommend you do - as I said it might not be what you think as the internet is well known for scaring people when it comes to their health.
