I don't even know how to start this at 17 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer just as quickly as I was given the all clear it came back at 19.
Again I fought and won but I had to pay the price of a full hysterectomy at 19.
roll on a few years am now 25(26 couple of months)
On my way to work in September I was walking to work and I had a slight pain in my knee ( put it down to artheritis, developed after treatment)
the pain wasn't horrific it wasn't constant and I soon forgot about it but as the weeks went on I noticed walking up stairs was hard.
about a month after that I was on the train seen my leg had swollen from my knee to calf and was so worried I might of had a clot or something I went to straight to A+E they expected a clot too, took blood then gave me a blood thinner.
Doctor came back said my platelets were high but no clot she said she would send me for leg scan. Next day I went they said I had a ruptured cyst and would take weeks for pain to go away and fluid to go away.
Doctor also referrd me back to consultant as was not happy with blood result.
roll on December leg still agony. Consultant says prob nothing but to be on safe side would do a CT.
CT went as planned just before Xmas. I almost forgot I had one tbh then I got a letter in jan to go see consultant.
soon as I went in I knew it was not good news. He informed found a regrowth in my scar tissue were original tomour was and on my left side lesions in my lymp nodes in groin hence the leg pain.
he said he could not confirm it was cancer or not and would need to run more tests.
I had my PET on Friday, booked in for chest CT on the 10th and results on the 25th ( possible biopsy in between)
my leg now has a avacado lump on it.
I am so scared it's cancer again... I don't want to think of the worst scenario but he offered no other explanation.
physically and mentally I don't know if I can go through this whole thing again,
no idea what am asking ! Just ranting I suppose.
my friends are having babies and am stuck in this nightmare.
