Hi Andrea,

It's good that the tests you've had so far have come back clear but I think our members will tell you it's natural to still be worried despite this. There is some information about coping with the wait for news just here which I hope will help but I'm sure our members will be along when they can to offer their support and advice as well.

In the meantime, try and distract yourself with your teenager's upcoming birthdays if you can as it will help to take your mind off this, even if it's just for a little while.

Thanks Steph. I just worry about the likelihood of the x-ray missing something sinister. Nobody seems to be able to advise how often this may happen x

Hi Andrea, I had 3 Xrays which did not show my lesion as it was behind my heart. I had a Ct scan which finally showed the lesion. If you are still concerned ask for a Ct scan. Keep strong. I'm waiting for bronsoscopy at the moment and the waiting can be difficult to cope with.

Hi Andrea, thanks for asking. I have just found out more details about the scan I had and was told it was small cell carcinoma? Still waiting for the test to get sample on Monday 24th

i have not been too good because of high gastric acid. Kept me awake most of the night so had my prescriptions renewed.

ill update when I get the results and see what options I have. I have lost a lot of weight so I'm worried about that.
