How long did you wait for biopsy results?!

Hey....

My God this waiting is hiddious, only a week tomorrow since I had the biopsy and here I am at 2am feeling sick with worry.

I was told 7-10 days so I guess tomorrow being day 7 feels me with fear, the past week has been ok i guess, kept my self busy but i knew i wouldn't hear anything....now! As i hit day 7 I'm sick with nerves dreading that private number calling me, yet, wanting it to call me so i can be done with this hiddious waiting game.

How long did you wait?!

  • Hey tilliev

I can totally sympathise, i had my biopsy on 24 jan and results apt is booked for 7 Feb. The wait feels endless. I am feeling a little more settled today, I've had a chat with myself. Hope you find out soon

  • Bless you all for getting back to me.

I am hating the thought of having the private number ring when I'm on my own....its bloody ridiculous.

Popped out earlier with my partner and came home to NHS letter on the doorstep, my partner opened it whilst I went for a nervous wee....it was just a copy of the letter sent to my doctor!!, bloody hell.

The strange thing is I'm probably 75% sure it's going to be ok. It's a pretty big year this year, turning 40!!. So got some beautiful getaways booked, I guess that's what's making this so daunting.  Treatment has come on so much I guess, that provides reassurance doesnt it?!      I'm such an independent woman, being ill and relying on people is awful for me, oh this is ridiculous....my head doesnt feel like my own lol.

Mine is a lump I can quite easily feel, as did my partner and doctor. On seeing the consultant at Breast clinic she couldn't feel it, told me there was nothing there and it was just breast tissue but would send me to ultrasound for reassurance as I suffer a little with anxiety. The radiologist found it straight away, a complex or complicated cyst is what she refers to it as. Definitely something inside aswell as fluid, so a core biopsy was done. On going back to my consultant she actually congratulated me " well done, you were right and I was wrong"!!!

Ohh god I'm rambling now! Sorry

    Thankyou all xx
