Hello everyone, I've read hundreds of posts and I have finally decided to write on the forum as my anxiety is through the roof..

I am a 28 year old guy, with an enlarged left tonsil and palatoglossal arch. I noticed this in the bathroom mirror towards the end of November 2019 and didnt give it much of a second thought until I used Dr Google... 

After reading A LOT of terrifying things I booked the quickest appointment i could get with my GP (which was 24th January 2020) the doctor listened to me for 5 minutes, gave me and 30 second exam and gave me an urgent referral to see an ENT, and wanted some blood tests done..

I had the blood tests on the 31st of January 2020 so still waiting for any results and I recieved my appointment to see the ENT which has been scheduled for the end of March! (So much for 2 weeks...) I have confirmed with the GP that the referral is urgent.. and so have asked to be sent to any ENT within the county ASAP (still waiting for any appointment letter to come)

My mum died of Ovarian cancer in October 2019 and I'm terrified of being diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer.. or cancer of any kind I suppose..

The swelling is nearly halfway to reaching my uvula and growing slowly, but I have virtually no accompanying symptoms.. I can feel it when I swallow but without discomfort, eating and drinking is not an issue. I have no night sweats or loss of weight, no inflammation or pain. However I can sometimes feel a sensation between that area and my left ear (not painful) 

So I guess my question is has anyone hear had any similar circumstances for better or worse?
