hi, i have had a fibroadenoma literally for years. They fluctuate and are hormone dependant. I have had mine along with breast pain. I dont know exactly when it appeared or if they pop up suddenly but prior to diagnosis, i always had breast pain. As far as I know, fibroadenomas are relatively easy to diagnose because of their characteristics. You can request to have them removed for peace of mind. Its a patients choice procedure.
