hi I've been having problems with lack of appetite, nausea, low energy weight loss and and over a month ago stool with lots of dark blood. Last Thursday I had HIT test poo looked fine no blood visible so was shocked when doctor rang and said test came back positive and has requested urgent referral. Has anyone had the same experience and it was cancer ? And does anyone have positive result and it wasn't. I had Her 2 positive cancer 13 years ago but don't think it spreads to colon, tummy etc. I'm trying not to worry but it's difficult at times I've read test is accurate but don't really no what to think. Would love some feedback if possible many thanks

    I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting on a referral following this recent test result. It's understandable that you may be feeling worried particularly as you've dealt with cancer in the past. 
    There could be any number of reasons for having had a positive result on the test but it's good that your GP has requested an urgent appointment to try and get to the cause of your symptoms sooner rather than later. Keep trying to stay positive. If you'd like to talk your concerns through with one of our nurses whilst waiting for your appointment then you're welcome to call them for some support and advice.
