Breast cancer cyst I'm scared

Hi, I found a lump new years day. Appointment was today they found more marked me up and gave me an ultrasound one lump concerned them alot they took a fine needle aspiration he remarked oh it's just a cyst but it was a different shape and its cloudy it all sounded quite postive. Then I saw the dr and he sent me on my way I got the impression they were just cysts and that was that they didnt want to see me again (didnt help that the computer system went down). I have a huge family risk! I'm now worried that what they took isnt going to be tested as it seemed that all was ok thanks to google I'm now worried alot about this cloudy fluid! They will test it still wont they?? Or it that it? Should I ring them and ask? I'm all nerves I'm still fuzzy from Anesthetic on monday for a biopsy in my nose also for cancer needles and nerves. this I dont want to worry about and I'd rather not have another biopsy if can be helped as my boob now hurts and as usual I still cant feel my nose

  • Hi purplemum and welcome to the forum.

Google is not our friend in these situations and no substitute for medical information and advice so if it will help your nerves and keep your worries at bay then you could get in touch with them and talk things through.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in similar situations will offer their thoughts and advice soon as well.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi, I'd try not to worry, when I had a the fine needle aspiration, on which they thought was a cyst, blood was coming out with it, that's when it's not a good sign, they knew this, which is why they sent me for a mammogram after. And then I had to have a biopsy. I'm sure if there was any concern they wouldn't send you away, and they would definitely test it. Try not to worry. Ring them and see what's happening, or if your still concerned go back to your go and explain this to them.

    all the best xx
