On January 8th I had a 3.5cm lump removed from my breast which they believed to be a fibroadenoma. I was told not to worry and that they'd send it to the lab and send the results to me in the post (it says this in my discharge notes that no routine outpatients appointments will be made and I was told multiple times that I'd get them via letter too). However I've now been told I've got an appointment at the hospital to come in and get my results and I'm really scared that this means the lump has turned out to be cancer. I've only just turned 20 so I'm really young but it's really worrying me. Is there any other reason I could be called in to get my results in person? The appointment isn't until February 12th so it will be a really worrying few weeks.
