What to ask at Urology appointment?

Hi folks,

Had a lot of blood in my urine (once) last week and back pain for some time.

Samples taken from GP on Friday with urgent referral. Call from appointments 9am today to ask me to see urologist at 9am tomorrow.

Any ideas on what to ask?

Or what to expect?

Convinced that rapid appointment, blood and back pain are likely to mean that whatever is going on is at an advanced stage.

Anxious beyond belief with my wife and three young kids at home.

Not a medic, but think you will go through scans/tests. Which is good. They want to get to the bottom of this. Blood in the urine and backache is scary, especially when you ahve a young family, but there are many possible causes, and many of these are not too serious. Good luck Harry

Infection has already been ruled out, which has left us feeling like some terrible news awaits us tomorrow.
