Confused! Bulky uterus

hi,

im so confused! I’ve just received a letter from the Gynecologist explaining my last appointment and I’m due to go for biopsy of the Vulva sometime next month but in his notes he talks about having a bulky uterus of about 8-9 weeks which is confusing the life out of me! What does that mean? There is no way on earth I’m pregnant so why would they say that? Im hoping it’s a miss print. Can anyone help with this please? Thank you in advance

    I'm sorry to hear that you've had a letter arrive which has caused you some concern. I know that there can be reasons other than pregnancy for having a "bulky uterus" but unfortunately I'm not able to answer your particular question as I'm not sure what they mean. It may be worth getting in touch with your Dr to ask for clarification if you feel unable to wait until your next appointment. 

    I hope that you're able to ger some reassurance soon.

    thank you jenn for your reply, I’v got a appointment with doctor but it’s not until just over a week away. Iv also had a ultrasound scan done so will find out more I’d think. Just found the term weeks very confusing.

    Hi, I recently had a gynae investigation and MRI. My MRI also mentioned a bulky uterus and they suggested it was indicative of adenomyosis. Apparently it is a common condition. Hope you get some clarification though. Good luck
