Worry about secondaries

Hi all - I had a melanoma removed just over a year ago now and yes I'm a lucky one no other treatment or regular checks now but, as we all know the niggle in the back of your mind is never far away.

i had an appointment with an eye surgeon yesterday regarding eye lid lift surgery (not because I'm vain, hypothyroidism causes muscle degradation, my eye lid muscles are too weak and now hooded eye lids are affecting my vision) anyway at the appointment if was told I have cataracts and need surgery on them as well.

After the consultation feeling stunned at the threat to my eye sight I realised I failed to tell the doctor that I had melanoma, how could I forget that evil disease! Anyway I am now worried that these cataracts could be caused by the melanoma, and should I get back in touch with the eye consultant.

Perhaps I'm just being paranoid

Thanks Dawn
