Biopsy done on colposcopy

I have had many symptoms the last year and a half. It started as pain during and after sex and bleeding after the sex. In more recent months I have pain all the time and constant bleeding. My doctor thought I might have endometriosis and so sent me for a consultation with a surgeon. The surgeon suggested a laparoscopy and removal if endo found and a colposcopy. I'm 22 so never had a smear as the doctor said if he sent a smear off then the lab would reject it due to age. After my surgery which was this week, the surgeon told me that I didn't have endometriosis and instead had lots of adhesions which he removed from my pelvic area. He also said during the colposcopy he took biopsies. I asked the nurse when I would find out more info from this and she said 8 weeks when I have my post op appointment.

has anyone ever had this before and it's been cancer? Or does anyone know if results come back sooner than 8 weeks? Can I request this info from my doctors?

note - I was referred by my doctor and had the choice of hospitals and chose my local private hospital so that's why I'm asking if I can get the information off my doctor. After the surgery I was in a lot of pain and so didn't take in much of what they said.

thanks
