Hpv virus

Hi I've had a letter back from my smear test saying I've tested positive for the hpv and they will retest me in 12. Months

However I went to Dr last week with lower pain, and I have blood in my urine and it has come back showing a uti

So now on antibiotics

Am I OK?

They will probably re test as the hpv can cause changes in the cervix. I had my results back in 2013 showing positive for hpv but also abnormal cells, when I went for further testing it was CIN3 which meant I had to have treatment. If it develops into anything over the 12 months they will then keep an eye on it and plan a course of action depending on what level it is

Thank you, they said on the letter they will retest me in 12 months, so I'm guessing it was OK?
