Alfiemoon I hope that's not true! , Emm, I think I will give them a ring tomorrow because the waiting is just awful I'll update when I know something, fingers crossed for us all. 

I rang today and she said they will be discussing it at the mdt tomorrow and she's going to ring me back when she knows what's what. 

So the cts scans arent taking 10 weeks if yours is back now x just dont know who to call about mine x all the best for rrsults x

Thanks alfiemoon, I'm very stressed at the moment as you must be too, I rang the gyno nurse, she gave me a card at my gyno appointment, you could always just ring the gynocology department and explain that your waiting for your results etc and ask if someone could ring you back x

I got the call today and they think its very early stage cancer and they're booking me in ASAP for a hysterectomy, I'm feeling mixed emotions at the moment, the word cancer is never good but at the same time it hasn't spread which I'm very happy about and very early stage is good too so now I've just got to have the hysterectomy and think positive, I'm glad it's been found early and I can't wait to get it out, I actually feel a weird sense of relief that I know what it is now x

Hi Emm-a, Jack and Alfiemoon,

I am sorry to hear that you are all playing the waiting game for test results at the moment. The best person to phone is usually your consultant's secretary or your breast care nurse. Your GP should also be able to access your results via computer.

It is scary when you are waiting for results and, somehow or other, we all tend to think the worst. Fortunately, this seldom turns out to be the case.

Jack you are quite right. It is amazing how relieved we feel once we get a diagnosis and know what is going to be done. I'm glad to hear that there doesn't seem to be any spread in your case.

Just a word of advice for you all. If you can take someone with you to the clinic when you return for your results, please do. It makes a huge difference to have some moral support there, especially if the news is not good.

Hi Jack,

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago and had a lumpectomy followed by Tamoxifen for 1 year. I then had another bout 9 years ago and had a double mastectomy followed by Letrozole for 6 years. I stopped taking this in July 2017. I still attend the breast clinic once a year for a review. I feel very blessed to still be here and, as far as I'm concerned, every day is a bonus.

I have also had a number of melanoma and a few false alarms in my breasts, so I am no stranger to the agony of waiting. I am glad to hear that your husband is going with you whenever you have an appointment. This makes a huge difference. Any contributions you can make here will always be very welcome, as you now know just how scary it is when you are setting out on this journey.

I hope that your appointment comes through soon and that all turns out well for you.

So sorry Jack to see this.  Really hope they get you operated on ASAP the hysterectomy isn't as bad as many think just give yourself time as it's exhausting for a while after.
