Small lump on breast

Hi all, I am new to this forum and I suppose I am just looking for someone to talk to. I found a small lump on my right breast, I have been to the docs before Christmas and he has told me to go back in 6 weeks which is tomorrow, I can still feel it and although it is small it is definitely there, my mum has had breast cancer and so has my aunt (mum's sister), I am afraid he won't send me for tests and assume it is nothing, which it probably is nothing but I would rather know for definite, do I ask for tests or just take his word for it if he says it's nothing to worry about? Thanks

  • Hi lovely

Sorry you find yourself in this position and that you are worried. Firstly well done for going to the gp about your lump in the first place.. although most breast lumps are nothing serious it's always always worth getting things checked. If the 6 weeks is up and you are still concerned go back and ask to be referred to your local breast clinic and don't be afraid to push if you need to.. or see a different gp if you feel like you aren't being listened to. Much love and feel free to message me if I can help.  Xxx
