A lymph node can be reactive for lots of reasons but it sounds like a good sign that the Consultant hasn't raised any particular concerns and just wants to monitor again in a few months. 

It's understandable that you may be worried if you're already dealing with anxiety and hopefully your Consultant will be able to reassure you at your upcoming appointment.

Hi wondering how your doing im the same reactive nodes without pathology?

Doing well thank you. Unfortunately my MRI scan revealed a mass near my parotid gland and this is why they wanted a rescan. Though its only 1cm and they believe it has the indications of a benign mass. They dont believe its related. I had another scan since and its the same (6 months later) so i am very grateful i pushed for a MRI so now i can monitor it.

My lymph nodes were up in I, II, III areas both sides and i have reactive lymphadenopathy. No changes between the scan and his words from the first "no worrying features"
 

Why the nodes are up is still unsure. I did have lichen planus on my tongue (1 side) which has cleared up, its possible its from that but is it linked to a cancer?, unlikely to all be up like this both sides if it was. Lymph nodes are sensitive things.

Hi im glad theres no worrying features and they are monitoring you if they felt it was concerning the would possibly do biopsy think 1cm is small so they wont. I went private hametoligist sure ive not got anything sinster going on biopsy on neck reviled reactive node with no pathology My groin wasnt biopsed it was 2cm it went away so hopefully reactive too. There not monitoring me though. Its a worry sometimes take care
