Secondary breast cancer

Hi all,

I was diagnosed and treated for stage 2 grade 3 breast cancer Aug 2018-Dec 2018.

For last two months I've been suffering with what we thought was nerve damage.  On Monday I became breathless with it and my gp sent me straight to hospital to rule out a blood clot.  The blood clot was ruled out, however they found a shadow on my lung.  I've been referred back to my oncologist and the breast care unit and met with my gp today and she's told me from what the doctor has said to her in his letter from Monday would strongly suggest it's a recurrence.  I was stoic throughout my diagnosis and treatment in Aug 2018.  I even started a new job 4 weeks after my mastectomy and brought my first home with my partner.  I'm now really scared and don't know what to do or think

  • Hiya!

ive no words of comfort in afraid just wanted to let you know you aren't on your own.

im having chemo for stage 2 breast cancer just now, had a lumpectomy and lymph node removal. Just found out there's a shadow on my chest X-ray on my rib which isn't looking too good.

I've to have an mri but I've got "that feeling".

whats the next steps for you? Be kind to yourself and remember there's always a chance it hasn't come back xxx
