Possible brain tumour worries

Hi,

For the past 6 months I have been experiencing quite severe headaches everyday, they move about so I can't pinpoint an exact place where they start and they get worse throughout the day. Bearing in mind I have no history of headaches, this was pretty alarming when it first started. Its In the last few months, I've noticed more symptoms such as an extremely stiff neck (I have to constantly click it), nausea, issues with my balance, I feel tired all the time, sensitivity to bright light that worsens the headaches and twitching in my eyes, nose, fingers and knees. Also I've been having nosebleeds the past week.

All this is very concerning, I'm young and it's bringing on lots of stress at university. I have a head MRI booked in a few days but all I can think about is if I have something growing in my brain.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, many thanks.

  • Hello enyos,

You've done the right thing in getting these severe headaches investigated but I can imagine this is a very stressful time for you as you are waiting to have this MRI scan and find out more.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
